Drum lessons available in the Wallingford area for students in their own home.  £15 for half an hour.  Guide to lessons below:

1 Holding sticks, getting familiar with the kit, cymbals and snare.

2. Rudiments.

3. Basic rock beat. Using a Metronome. 

4 Quarters, eighth, sixteenth rock beats .

5 Basic fills.

6 Triplets, shuffle, swing rhythms.

7 Reggae, funk patterns

8 Accents and rolls. Tuning.

9 Basic reading.

A little about me...

I started playing at the are of 12 in a marching band, and we entered a number of national competitions.  I did this for around 10 years. I had a break from drumming and then decided to buy a small jazz kit. I ended up playing in a psychedelic rock band!  We played a number of gigs including the Jericho Tavern, Oxford. I now play with Short Notice and various other musicians around the area and also in London.  I'm largely self taught on a kit, though have had a lesson with a leading player on the London and national scene.

In the future students would be in a good position, if they wanted, to go onto Trinity College or Rock School exams.
